As a tradesperson, has a friend or acquaintance ever asked you for help on a home renovation? Or wondered if you could recommend a skilled tradesperson who could?
Chances are the answer is yes. And for good reason: finding a skilled tradesperson a homeowner can trust is no simple task.
That's until TradesPeopleDirect.ca, the latest initiative from the Finishing Trades Institute of B.C.
TradesPeopleDirect.ca is a website that connects skilled tradespeople, like yourself, with homeowners who are looking to hire professionals for their renovation projects.
"Properly maintaining a home requires a lot of specialized ability," said David Holmes, Director of Training at the Finishing Trades Institute of BC.
"DC38 members are experts in painting and decorating, glazing, drywall finishing, and wall and ceiling. It's time to bring the skills of these members together with people in the community that need a journeyperson they can depend on."
A profile on the TradesPeopleDirect.ca Directory is free, so long as you're a DC38 member in good standing, have a Red Seal or TQ, and take a one-day Orientation at the FTI. If you don't have a Red Seal or are an Apprentice at the FTI BC, please contact us at the number below for more information.
This could be a great opportunity for DC38 members to make extra money on the weekend by doing a trade they have a proven skill for.
