NEWS
Potential Canada Post Strike and What It Means to You

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers gave 72-hour notice to legally strike as of 11:59 p.m. ET Thursday, June 2nd. In the event of a strike, DC38 members are required to pay their monthly union dues and Health & Welfare Benefit shortage notices on time during a postal strike.

Lower Mainland members: Payments can be made in person at 7621 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC during our regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. After hours, cheques or money orders can be put through the mail slot on the front entrance door.

Vancouver Island members: Payments can be made in person at #2-802 Esquimalt Road, Victoria between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Members living in outlying areas should contact Maureen at (250) 385-8312 to discuss alternative solutions for insuring your payments are made on time.

Prince George members: Can contact Bryon Hill at (250) 962-6951 or (250) 612-7226 to make arrangements for pick-up of payment(s). Cheque or Money Orders only.

Please do not mail your payments during the postal strike. Mail services may be delayed so your payment could arrive late.

Also, please see this Pacific Blue Cross prepared communication for remitting claims and/or receiving reimbursement in the event of a strike here.
